Township Man, 65, Molested 10-Year-Old Girl, Police Say
Investigators say Larry Rutman admitted to improperly touching girl earlier this year.
Authorities in Lehigh County say an Upper Macungie man molested a 10-year-old girl earlier this year.
Larry Rutman, 65, of the 100 block of Maple Street is charged with aggravated indecent assault of a child, a first-degree felony.
According to court records, the girl told investigators from the township police and Lehigh County District Attorney's office that Rutman had fondled her while she was in bed.
Police say Rutman thought the girl was asleep, but she remained awake during the incident.
On Oct. 21, Rutman met with police and admitted to molesting the girl, court records say.
He was arraigned Wednesday before District Judge Michael Faulkner, and sent to Lehigh County Prison after failing to come up with $10,000 bail.
