Tuesday in Upper Mac: A Night with The Stars

Tuesday, Aug. 13 is expected to feature showers and the possibility of a thunderstorm with a high near 81, according to the National Weather Service forecast.

Here's what's going on in and around Upper Macungie:

• The Parkland Community Library and the Lehigh Valley Amateur Astronomical Society will hold A Night with The Stars at the LVAAS facility on South Mountain (rain or shine) for a planetarium show and observation of the summer sky. The program is for students in sixth through 12th grades. For more information, call 610-398-1361.

• St. Paul's UCC Church in Trexlertown will open its food pantry Tuesday from 10 a.m. to noon. The church will also hold an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting at 7 p.m. 

• Looking for a career change? A Table Games Training Information Session will be held Tuesday at Fowler Family Southside Center, 511 E. Third Street, Bethlehem.

• The Terry Hill Water Park, located at 10000 Hamilton Blvd., is open from noon to 6 p.m. for swimming, weather permitting.

• Liber-Tee Miniature Golf, at 7720 Adreinne Drive in Breinigsville is open from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., weather permitting.
