Forgotten Cats is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to reduce the unwanted cat population without killing and to stop the suffering of the thousands of kittens born to abandoned, homeless cats.
We do this by working with colony caretakers to trap, sterilize, vaccinate, and return every cat within a colony. We provide the necessary medical treatment for sick or injured feral cats, stray cats, and kittens. We are working to find homes for adoptable cats and kittens. We also provide education about spay neuter, and we are assisting other cat rescue groups with trap, neuter, and return programs.
We also hold cat clinics almost every week which are open to the general public. People can bring in their cats and kittens to get spayed/neutered. For colony caretakers, we charge a low rate and can provide help with trapping. The cats are released back in the same area, but can no longer reproduce, and have been vaccinated in order to prevent illness among groups of cats.
On top of our TNR program, we run a foster program, in which we take pregnant mom's and their kittens as well as young kittens and even adult friendly cats from the streets and help to adopt them out. Unfortunately, we are running low on foster parents. If anyone would like to foster cats/kittens (even one) please contact Sarah, the foster coordinator of Willow Grove Forgotten Cats at amicitiaetDeus@gmail.com. We provide all medical/vet needs and reimburse for food. Some people choose not to get reimbursed as they are "donating" to Forgotten Cats. Either way, we are desperate for Fosters!
