Hatboro Police are warning residents about a woman knocking on doors around the borough and demanding to see their PECO bills.
The solicitor claimed to represent “Major Energy,” an energy service company. She was reportedly “quite demanding,” police said.
The woman was identified, found, and cited for violating the borough’s soliciting ordinance because both she and Major Energy were unlicensed in Hatboro, police said.

Although this incident has only been reported in Hatboro, police urge all area residents to contact them when similar activity occurs, and to never share utility bills or other personal information that could lead to identity theft.
