Breaking: Authorities are investigating an attempted child luring incident in Upper Moreland on Tuesday.

UPPER MORELAND, PA — Authorities are investigating an attempted child luring incident in the area on Tuesday.
The incident occurred at 11:03 a.m. in the area of Woodlawn Avenue and Silver Avenue in Willow Grove, police said.
A 12-year-old boy was walking when a man in a Jeep pulled up and offered the boy a ride home, according to authorities.

The man allegedly told the boy that he knew the child's parents.
The child turned and fled the scene before notifying the police.

The vehicle is described as a dark blue, older model Jeep, possibly a Liberty or a Patriot, authorities said. It has New Jersey tags with "173" possibly being the first three digits.
The suspect is a white or Hispanic male in his mid-thirties with a short buzzcut and black or brown hair, police said.
