Attorney General Kathleen Kane Will Surrender Saturday: Report

She is expected to plead not guilty.

Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane will surrender on Saturday, after charges against her were announced at a press conference in Norristown on Thursday, according to a 6 ABC News Report.

She is expected to plead not guilty, according to the report.

In a statement released Thursday she maintained her innocence and said that she was “very disappointed” that Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman had decided to press charges.

Later in the day, Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf called for Kane to step down.

Kane is being charged for allegedly leaking grand jury documents to the press and then lying about it. Charges against her include obstruction of the administration of law, official oppression, conspiracy, false swearing, and perjury.
