Authorities Back At Urgent Care In Willow Grove

Breaking: For the second time in the last two weeks, authorities are at Advanced Urgent Care in Willow Grove.

WILLOW GROVE, PA — For the second time in the last two weeks, authorities are investigating at Advanced Urgent Care in Willow Grove.

Officers with the Drug Enforcement Administration raided that facility and another facility on Roosevelt Boulevard in Philadelphia on Oct. 23 for synthetic opioid busts.

A spokesperson with the DEA confirmed that there is an investigation into Urgent Care, but declined to provide specific information.

The reports state that a variety of illegal activity is suspected at the Urgent Care, including prescription drug sales.

CBS reports that patients would constantly "come and go" to get prescriptions for opioids, leading to drug deals in the parking lots.

The owner of Advanced Urgent Care, Mehdi Nikaparvfard, was recently arrested and charged with civil contempt and threatening law enforcement officers, court documents show.
