Bill Introduced In Pa. Senate To Reward Volunteer Firefighters
Lawmakers hope the bill will inspire more volunteer firefighters to sign up.

Legislation has been introduced in the Pennsylvania state senate that would help recruit emergency personnel, according to the Pennsylvania Legislature.
The motion, Senate Bill 299, would let individual communities eliminate the local earned income tax, or offer tax credits, to volunteer firefighters, along with other emergency personnel.
The bill was introduced by State Sen. Sean Wiley (D-Erie) and State Sen. Lisa Baker (R-Wayne).
