Driver Shot Up Heroin While Driving On 422 In Montgomery County: Cops

Police said it was the first DWI - Driving While Injecting - case they had seen.

Three Montgomery County men were arrested on Thursday after using heroin while driving on Route 422 in Limerick, according to police.

Police were alerted after another motorist called and said he saw the driver placing a syringe in his arm and “driving erratically.”

Law enforcement stopped the car after it exited 422 onto Township Line Road, police said.

All three occupants of the car were in possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia, according to police.

“This is a great example of why we all need to give driving our complete attention,” Limerick police said in a statement on Facebook.
