DUI Task Force Arrests 8 In Night Raid, Willow Grove Man Still Wanted

Eight DUI suspects were arrested overnight Wednesday in raids across Montgomery County, the sheriff’s office said.

Twelve deputies of Sheriff Russell Bono tracked wanted individuals in Abington, Horsham, Willow Grove, Rockledge, Norristown, Devon, and Huntington Valley, according to the sheriff.

• Damian Brown of Norristown, Pa., failed to appear for DUI sentencing.
• Lucas Stierly of Norristown, Pa., failed to appear for DUI sentencing.
• Sean Crawford of Rockledge, Pa., failed to appear for sentencing on a DUI charge of having a blood alcohol level of .302 and hitting a pedestrian while driving.
• Thomas Garlanger of Rockledge, Pa., who struck three parked cars has prior drug and criminal charges.
• Anna Nowakowski of Huntington Valley, Pa., failed to appear for DUI sentencing.
• Courtney Pass of Norristown, Pa., failed to appear for sentencing for a DUI charge of having a blood alcohol level of .244 and drug charges.
• Lowell Scheetz of Willow Grove, Pa., failed to appear for DUI sentencing.
• Marie Wenrich-Schmidt of Blue Bell, Pa., failed to appear for DUI sentencing.

“I just want the citizens of Montgomery County to know that we will be relentless in our pursuit of drunk drivers who fail to live up to their judicial obligation,” Bono said in a press release. “It’s good to know that the people we picked up last night are off of the street and are finally going to deal with the consequences of their irresponsible actions.”

The raid was executed by the joint DUI Task Force, formed in December as a coalition between the District Attorney’s Office, the Sheriff’s Office and MADD.

The sheriff’s office also released information on five other individuals who are still wanted on DUI charges:

• Hugh O’Donnell, Horsham
• Matthew Lieberman, Oreland
• Atilla Jasko, Devon
• Nicole Rutledge, Abington
