On July 3, 2014, the first eight Eastern Center for Arts and Technology (EASTERN) Cosmetology students have completed the 1,250 required hours necessary in order to take the Pennsylvania State Board of Cosmetology Exam. Congratulations to Morgan-Victoria Johnson, 2014 Springfield High School graduate; Jaclyn Piccari, 2014 Upper Dublin High School graduate; Kara Vartanian, 2014 Lower Moreland High School graduate; Megan Bennett, 2014 Upper Dublin High School graduate; Faith Cruz, 2014 Abington High School graduate; Tianna Gannotti, 2014 Upper Moreland High School graduate; Brittany Klaski, 2014 Abington High School graduate; and Ana Pellecchia, 2014 Abington High School graduate. The rest of the class only has a matter of days before they also complete their hours.
“Congratulations to all of our Cosmetology seniors finishing up the program this summer,” said Joseph Greb, EASTERN’s Assistant Director. “The commitment and dedication these students have demonstrated over the past two years has been incredible.”
To qualify to sit for state licensure individuals must complete 250 hours for a nail technician license, 1,250 for cosmetology, and an additional 500 to get a teaching license. Students attending EASTERN's Cosmetology program will save the time and money by completing these hours while still in high school.
