Eastern Center for Arts and Technology (EASTERN) Computer Network Administration/Springfield Township High School senior, Juan-Paolo Figueras (Paolo) was honored with the Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition from Congresswoman Allyson Schwartz. Congresswoman Schwartz asked Tom Allen, EASTERN’s Administrative Director, to name one graduating senior who deserves this special recognition for their achievement, community service and/or good citizenship.
Joseph Greb, EASTERN’s Assistant Director presented the certificate to Paolo in front of his class while congratulating him for all of his accomplishments while at EASTERN. Paolo has been actively involved in EASTERN’s student leadership organization, SkillsUSA, serving as School-Wide Vice President for the afternoon session, and he was recently chosen as one of only 25 students nationwide to participate in the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange Program where he will live, study and work in Germany for one year after graduation.
“At EASTERN we have a Student Recognition Committee made up of faculty, staff and administrators,” said Tom Allen, EASTERN’s Administrative Director. “We have a lot of great students who deserve recognition here at EASTERN, but our committee felt as though Paolo has truly had an outstanding year. We are excited about his future, and looking forward to hearing about his endeavors in Germany.”
