Eastern Center for Arts and Technology (EASTERN) Cosmetology/Cheltenham High School senior, Mary Anne Chiwete, is collecting gently used pens, pencils, markers and crayons for students, locally and globally, that need these essential items for school. As a member of the YMCA and a senior at Cheltenham High School, this collection is a way for her to support an organization that she believes in while fulfilling requirements for her senior project. Through the YMCA, she has been volunteering her time and efforts to various community projects. She is collecting these items at EASTERN and Cheltenham High School through April 13, 2014.

EASTERN’s Cosmetology program is a two-year half-day program that provides the skills necessary to begin a career in the cosmetology field. In Pennsylvania, as well as other states, cosmetologists and nail technicians must be licensed to practice in the field. One-year seniors will be considered if space is available in the program.
