Empty Bowl Dinner

Arcadia University's Annual Empty Bowl Dinner

For the 21st straight year, Arcadia University is hosting the Empty Bowl Benefit Dinner, an event that addresses hunger and homelessness both locally and internationally. Since its inception, the event has generated more than $110,000. This year’s event is on Monday, Nov. 17. Attendees select a handcrafted bowl made by students and other local artists, and fill them with an assortment of soups, breads, and desserts donated by area individuals and restaurants. Attendees keep their bowls which serve as a reminder of the many people in the world who live with an empty bowl each day. Seating is by ticket only, with continuous seating from 4:30 to 8 p.m. in Grey Towers Castle. Tickets are $12 for students (Pre-K to 12; college) and $15 for non-students. Visit www.arcadia.edu/emptybowl for more information and to purchase tickets. All proceeds benefit Interfaith Hospitality Network and Heifer International.
