The Village Players of Hatboro have announced the third production of their 64th Season. It’s the dark comedy, “Early One Evening at The Rainbow Bar & Grille” by Bruce Graham. The show premieres on Friday, March 9th at 8:00 p.m. The theater is located at 401 Jefferson Avenue in Hatboro. For information, call the box office at 215-675-6774.

The show takes place in a tiny bar out in the sticks of Pennsylvania where six characters face a terrifying discovery: something unknown is destroying much of the United States of America. A visit from a mysterious stranger with an even stranger book will help shape the fate of humanity.

 

The cast includes Coz Baldwin of Glenside as “Shep”, Alex Howey from Philadelphia as “Roy”, Jacquelyn Green of Southampton as “Willie”, Jim Palmer of Hatboro as “Bullard”, Colleen Mackle, a resident of Northeast Philadelphia as “Shirley”, Beverly Sharp of Warwick as “Virginia” and John Weber of Fairless Hills as “Joe”. Directing the production is Ron Green of Bensalem whose past shows include “God’s Favorite” and “Wait Until Dark”. Kyle Aptacy of Hatboro is producing the show.

 

“Early One Evening at The Rainbow Bar & Grille” opens on Friday, March 9th, 2012 with an 8:00 p.m. curtain. Tickets are only $12. The show runs the next three weekends in March. There are two Sunday matinees on March 11th and March 18th at 2:00 p.m. Matinee tickets are only $10. The Village Players of Hatboro is a non-profit community theater located in residential Hatboro at 401 Jefferson Avenue near County Line Road between Jacksonville and Warminster Roads.
