Also, don't miss our featured fine artist, photographer David Austria: born and raised in the Greater Philadelphia region. His introduction to a DSLR started in his college years where he simply wanted to document his sneaker collection. From there, his interest in his camera bloomed tenfold. He began to take photo classes at Villanova and the University of the Arts and started experimenting mainly with different intricate lighting techniques. Austria observed how lighting completely transforms the results of a photo. Ditching his shoes, he reached out to more animate subjects… his college friends. The portraiture’s outcome peaked his interest even more, so Austria began his search for different events, stylists, clothing and basically anything within the photography industry’s spectrum for work. Building both his clientele and portfolio, Austria honed his skills yielding the development of particularly natural feel within his photographs.
