Second Chance Band: What do you get when you mix classic “Rock and Roll” with a little spice of “Country” and a sprinkling of “Folk Rock”?

Second Chance – a seven person band with members based in Bucks and Montgomery Counties. Founded in the late summer of 2010, Second Chance began as a one-time-only cover band armed initially with only a twenty song set list. The enthusiastic response they received from their first ever concert inspired them to take a Second Chance and keep going. They have now played many successful live performances to the delight of their audiences and the bewilderment of their kids!

The members of Second Chance include:
John Burkhauser – Lead guitar
Having worked his way up from air guitar, to a broom and now to a real guitar, John once played in a cover band called Indigo with drummer Mike McDonnell. Since he has finally somewhat mastered the guitar, John is constantly searching for the right sound and notes to complement the “Wall of Sound” from Second Chance.
Pat Jones – Guitar and vocals
Patrick is getting his Second Chance after having been a member of the BT Blues Band which played many First Friday events in Doylestown PA. Patrick sings with a Rockin Country flavor in his vocal renditions for the band while playing rhythm and an occasional lead on his Guild electric guitar. Patrick adds to the dynamic by wailing a rockin’ blues harmonica on several of the cover songs as well.
Mike (ButterFingers) McDonnell – Drums and vocals
Slid behind his first drum kit at age 6 and has been obsessed with laying down a beat on anything and everything ever since. Born and raised in Philadelphia and now living in Bensalem PA. Former drummer for Indigo and 440Crow, Mike loves making music, whether it's mastering and performing the songs he grew up listening to or perfecting original material. "If it's got a beat I can dig it!"
Bill Palardy – Bass guitar and vocals
Bill picked up the guitar as a young teen and has been active in various bands since this beginning, contributing on both rhythm and lead guitars as well as bass. A native of Philadelphia now living in Doylestown, Bill is thrilled to be sharing his passion for songs from his youth with the seasoned and talented bandmates from Second Chance. Got that mojo workin'!
John Smith – Rhythm guitar and vocals
From the early days of rock and roll, music was always part of John’s life. He started singing in school groups at age 10, got his first guitar at age 14, and has continued performing ever since in a variety of musical groups. With the enthusiastic support of his wife and children, he is proud to be part of Second Chance.
Ed McTague – Rhythm guitar and vocals
Ed has had music in his blood since he got his first guitar at age 10. As time passed by, he improved his performing skills and is ready to show them off. He has the support of his loving family and is excited to be a part of Second Chance and a great group of musicians
Steve Hart – Acoustic rhythm guitar and vocals.
Steve obtained his first guitar at age 11 and has never stopped playing since (a very long time!). A native of England, he first developed as a performer while studying music at the University of Durham and regularly playing the folk scene throughout northeast England. Playing with Second Chance has allowed him expand his musical range and have a great time doing it.
