Take classic rock tunes of the early MTV-era by the legendary British group “Genesis”. Add two visionary jazz keyboard talents from the famed Manhattan School of Music. Blend with a pair of side-by-side Steinways and top it off with pure passion for lush piano music. That’s the recipe for “The Genesis Project,” the fusion of rock and classical styles presented in a dual-piano program by New York-based artists Angelo Di Loreto and Adam Kromelow. Using their own original arrangements, combining the intensity of rock and the pure pleasure of pop with the lyricism of the classical keyboard, the duo will present their first-ever Philadelphia suburban performance at a free concert Sunday, March 4, 2012, at 1 p.m., at the Jacobs Music Recital Hall in Willow Grove, at 1135 N. Easton Road.
The program weaves in and out of the multiple faces of Genesis, in arrangements requiring virtuosity and a great deal of technical facility. The intimate setting of the recital hall will permit piano enthusiasts to have a close-up experience with two exciting young keyboard talents, interlacing their artistry and energies to produce a mesmerizing musical experience.
For this free piano concert, space is very limited and reservations are required. For more information please call Jacobs Music Company’s Willow Grove showroom at 215-658-0888.
