Ex-Montco Pre-School Teacher Sent To Jail For Behavior In Classroom
The former pre-school teacher called a one-year-old an "anorexic (expletive)," according to reports.

A former pre-school teacher in Whitpain was sentenced to jail Tuesday for cursing at and hitting children while she taught at the now closed KinderCare Learning Center, according to multiple reports.
Cassandra Sabia, 28, pleaded guilty to calling a one-year-old an “anorexic (expletive),” Montgomery News reports, and smacking another child in the back of the head with her hand and with a book.
The complaint against her said that she picked up a small boy by the leg and arm and dropped him on the floor, the Intelligencer reports.

She also allegedly threatened to “toss” a different little girl across the room, according to the Intelligencer.
She was sentenced to six to 23 months in the Montgomery County Correctional Facility, according to reports, and upon release, will have to complete the rest of her sentence on parole before beginning three years of probation.

Sabia pleaded guilty in December to misdemeanor charges of endangering the welfare of a child and simple assault, reports state.
The judge called Sabia’s actions “outrageous,” labeling them “significant criminal conduct,” according to reports.
During the sentencing hearing, Sabia apologized to the victim’s parents, reports state, saying “All I can do is try and become a better person and that is what I am trying to do.”
Sabia worked at the pre-school from August 2013 to March 2014, resigning when confronted by school officials about her behavior, according to reports.
