First Responders' Heroism Saves Woman's Life In Montgomery County
Thanks to local EMS and police, Hallie can smile again.

CHELTENHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — Heroism by local first responders saved a woman's life in Chetltenham recently.
When police and EMS crews arrived at Melrose Park Station for a call recently, they found Hallie, an elderly local resident, suffering from seizures.
Hallie went into full cardiac arrest, and police quickly began CPR.

When EMS crews arrived, they administered various drugs and used a defibrillator multiple times.
Treatment continued as they loaded Hallie into an ambulance and rushed her to Abington Hospital.

Once she arrived, authorities said they began a new procedure, this time using two defibrillators. And her heart began beating once more.
Hallie faced a long recovery, but thanks to the quick response, her life was saved.
"Again, training and team work saved another life," Cheltenham Emergency Services said in detailing the incident. "Hallie returned to her family and friends thanks to the great work of the Cheltenham Police and Cheltenham EMS."
