Nearly a thousand pages of records were released to the public on Wednesday, including a number of sexually explicit emails that were shared between state prosecutors in the time before Kathleen Kane’s arrival, according to media reports.
Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane has wanted the emails to become public for some time, alleging that the current charges of perjury against her are the result of her investigation into the lewd exchanges, according to the Times Herald.
The emails were released as part of a larger publication of materials related to the Kane investigation, the report states.
Kane and her defense team have previously alleged that state prosecutors Frank Fina and Marc Costanzo fabricated the charges against Kane to protect themselves from these emails being leaked to the public, according to the report.
