Not enough people would in order to justify building a campground in East Fairmount Park in Philadelphia, according to an NBC 10 report.

Francis Fields, the campground that would hold 16,000 during the Pope’s visit to Philadelphia, has been reportedly cancelled due to lack of demand.

The site was located just off the Schuylkill River and is about two miles from Eakins Oval, where Pope Francis will give a speech.

A variety of camping options would have been available, including tent only, tents with a car, and RV’s. All campers were required to purchase a camping wristband, which had been on sale for $199.

In addition to security patrols, a multilingual translation team would have been on hand to assist the expected wide diversity of visitors.

Officials did not say whether security concerns had been a part of their decision to cancel Francis Fields.
