Hazardous Waste Recycling Event is Saturday
Recycle your household hazardous waste this weekend at Montgomery County Community College.

There will be a household hazardous waste recycling event this Saturday, May 30 at Montgomery County Community College, 340 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell.
The event, organized by the county, will be held rain or shine from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
During the event, toxic and flammable household chemicals are collected for proper disposal.

Acceptable items include: gasoline, oil, kerosene, turpentine, paint thinner, oil paint, stains, varnish, pool chemicals, herbicides, pesticides, antifreeze, caustic cleaners and solvents, mercury, thermometers, flares, fire extinguishers, lead acid batteries, rechargeable batteries, fluorescent tube light bulbs, CFL bulbs, mini propane canisters and electric oil filled heaters.
Do Not Bring: Electronics, appliances, asbestos, explosives, ammunition, medical waste, radioactive waste, smoke detectors, items containing Freon or tires.

If you can’t make it Saturday, there are three remaining Household Hazardous Waste Events in 2015, including:
- Saturday, July 11 at Spring-Ford 9th Grade Center, 400 South Lewis Road Royersford
- Saturday, August 8 at Abington Junior High School ,2056 Susquehanna Road, Abington,
- Sunday, October 18 at Lower Merion Transfer Station, 1300 North Woodbine Avenue, Penn Valley
