'Hazardous' Weather On The Way This Week For Upper Moreland

Summer thunderstorms are becoming a weekly occurrence.

Yet again, a hazardous weather outlook has been issued for Montgomery and Chester Counties, along with much of the region, by the National Weather Service.

Thunderstorms, heavy rainfall, and possible flash flooding are expected on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Here’s your forecast, per Weather.gov:

Today: Isolated showers after 3pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 87. Calm wind becoming south around 6 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tonight: Scattered showers, mainly after 5am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 68. Southeast wind 3 to 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Tuesday: Scattered showers, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 11am. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 85. East wind around 6 mph becoming south in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Tuesday Night: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 71. Light south wind. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Wednesday: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before noon, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 85. Northeast wind 3 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Wednesday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8pm, then a chance of showers between 8pm and midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 68. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
