A heat advisory is out for all of the Philadelphia metropolitan area, including Montgomery County. What time will it be the worst?
By 4 p.m., temperatures are expected to rise to 94 degrees. And it’s going to be over 90 degrees from 1 p.m. through 6 p.m.
The National Weather Service released the following advisory for the region:

Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. When possible, reschedule strenuous activities for early morning or evening. Know the signs of and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing when possible and drink plenty of water.
To reduce risk during outdoor work, (take) frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. Heat stroke is an emergency. Call 911.

A heat advisory means that a period of excessive heat is expected. The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity will create a situation in which heat illnesses are possible. Drink plenty of fluids, stay out of the sun, stay in an air conditioned room, and check up on relatives and neighbors. In addition, never leave children or pets in parked vehicles as rapidly rising temperatures may lead to heat stroke or death.

noon: 88 degrees
1 p.m.: 91 degrees
2 p.m.: 92 degrees
3 p.m.: 92 degrees
4 p.m.: 94 degrees
5 p.m.: 92 degrees
6 p.m.: 90 degrees
7 p.m.: 88 degrees
8 p.m.: 84 degrees
