'I Will Personally Shoot Every One of Them': Guidance Counselor's Facebook Post Under Investigation
The Montgomery County District Attorney is investigating a 'violent' post from the Facebook account of a Bucks County guidance counselor.

The Montgomery County District Attorney and Central Bucks School District officials are investigating a “threatening” and “violent” social media post allegedly made from the account of an Upper Gwynedd guidance counselor on Sunday.
“If my child cannot get to the Eagles game due to protestors, I will personally SHOOT every one of them. You’ve been warned idiots!!,” a Facebook post from the account of Central Bucks High School West Guidance Counselor Marykate Blankenburg said.
The post was then shared on Twitter by a user with this caption: “#guidancecounselorthreatens to kill #FergusonPHL protestors after #eagles game.”

An online firestorm and the subsequent investigation followed.
The post was referring to a ”die in” protest after the Eagles game in response to recent grand jury decisions against indicting white police officers in the deaths of two black men.

In a statement Monday morning, Central Bucks School District Superintendent David Weitzel said the district responded with urgency after seeing the “threatening, violent” message allegedly written by Blankenburg.
“We will take appropriate action once we learn all of the facts. I also notified the District Attorney’s Office on Sunday and we are working with them as they investigate this incident,” he said.
“The content of the post does not in any way reflect the beliefs or values of the Central Bucks School District,” Weitzel said.
The Intelligencer reported that Blankenburg has been suspended with pay and the investigation was handed over to the Montgomery County District Attorney because the guidance counselor lives in Upper Gwynedd.
Meanwhile, as the post went public, many responded with disgust on Twitter.
“If people get on my nerves, I’m gonna shoot them!” Where the hell was Marykate Nyman Blankenburg previously a guidance counselor? Columbine?,” wrote one user.
