Lanes Reopen After Multiple Turnpike Crashes In Montgomery County

At least one person was trapped as traffic was shut down for a time this morning.

A crash in the westbound lanes of the Pennsylvania turnpike shut down traffic in Lower Moreland on Wednesday morning, and another accident caused delays on I-476 northbound near Lansdale, according to the official Pennsylvania Turnpike Twitter page.

At least three cars appear to be involved, according to multiple reports.

The lanes were originally closed but traffic had resumed going by at around 10:30 a.m., per multiple media reports.

Further details on the crash near Lansdale are not yet available, but the accident has been cleared and lanes are open.

It was originally reported at 9:52 a.m.

A third turnpike accident on I-276 West between Bensalem and Willow Grove has also been cleared.
