Man Chokes, Assaults Pregnant Girlfriend In Hatboro: Report

The girlfriend, who was nine months pregnant, was arguing with the suspect because he had smoked marijuana.

A man is heading to prison for assaulting his pregnant girlfriend in Hatboro earlier this year, according to a report.

Shawn M. Grady, 22, of Parksburg, was in the home of a couple on West Lehman Avenue in Hatboro on August 26, the report states.

His girlfriend at the time, who was nine months pregnant, was arguing with Grady because he had smoked marijuana, The Intelligencer reports.

Grady then grabbed her phone, shoved her onto a bed, placed his hand over mouth and his other hand around her throat, the report states.

He then said he was going to kill her until the girlfriend’s young daughter came in the room and tried to pull Grady off of her mother, according to the report.

The woman fled downstairs but Grady followed her, took her car keys, and began choking her again, the report states. She was able to get away and call 911.
