Man Sentenced For 'Scaring' Children In Horsham Bus: Report

A man who banged on a school bus door and displayed his middle finger, scaring children, has been sentenced to six to 23 months in prison, according to a report by The Intelligencer.

John Embry Jr., 57, of Sevierville, Tennessee was sentenced on Friday for simple assault, unauthorized school bus entry and other charges, the report states.

At 3:30 p.m. on Feb. 14, 2014, Embry sped past a school bus on the right after the bus had stopped and put on its flashing lights to indicate that children were exiting, according to the report.

When the bus driver caught up to the truck at a stop sign down the road, he took a picture of the blue Ford pickup truck to show authorities, the report states.

When Embry noticed what was happening, he burst out of the car and ran back to the bus, banging on the door and yelling, demanding to be let in, the report states.

The driver prevented his entry and a Horsham officer arrested Embry on February 16, according to the report.
