Man Trapped In Car After Multi-Vehicle Montgomery County Crash

A man was trapped in his car after a multi-vehicle crash Wednesday morning in Lower Providence Township, according to the Lower Providence Fire Department.

A red sedan crashed head-on with another vehicle at about 8:30 a.m. on South Park Avenue between Woodland Avenue and Falcon Road, according to fire officials.

Crews from Rescue and Squad 53 had to take the car apart to safely extricate the man, fire officials said.

It took about 20 minutes to get him out, according to officials.

He was taken to the hospital by Lower Providence EMS along with another patient, officials said.

Their condition is not known.

South Park Avenue was closed until 10 a.m.
