Montco Councilman, Mourning Loss Of Wife, Told He Can't Bring Kids To D.C.
Norristown council rejected Councilman Millner's request to bring his children along on a trip to the White House.

Norristown Councilman Marlon Millner is mourning the loss of his wife, renown child activist Diana Millner.
He said he’d been to the White House many times on business, but that the trips were for strictly work purposes, and he never had a chance to go on a tour of the premises.
When he requested to bring his kids along on a tour of the White House while on September 11, the council said no.

Millner doesn’t understand.
“NorristownPA council let me be clear, you will not stop my kids from attending a public tour of the American People’s @WhiteHouse #OurHouse,” Millner said on his Twitter page.

“I will no longer accept being marginalized, unnecessarily criticized, antagonized and ostracized by #NorristownPA muni government,” he added.
Linda Christian, the president of the council in Norristown, said the trip was geared toward business, and that’s why the children weren’t allowed to come along, according to Metro US.
She said Millner didn’t know anything else about the September 11 agenda because the details were still being worked out, the report states.
Millner, meanwhile, is livid that his children are being involved in what he perceives as a petty policial squabble.
“Why are brilliant people making a meaningful impact in public life gone too soon while bozos and blowhards are still around embarrassing us?”
