Montco Man Drinks Half A Bottle Of Whiskey, Accidentally Shoots Himself: Report

A Norristown man drank half a bottle of whiskey while he was cleaning his revolver on Sunday and accidentally shot himself in the thigh, according to a report in the Times Herald.

The non-fatal shooting occurred on the 1800 block of West James Street shortly before 6 p.m., the report states.

The victim was taken to Paoli Hospital, while the gun, five live rounds, and the spent bullet were taken into evidence, according to the report.

It was not noted what kind of whiskey he was drinking.
