Montco Teacher Sent Nude Photos to Student, Police Say
Chemistry teacher Todd Gibson allegedly sent photos of his penis as well as pictures of him nude to a female student via Snapchat in 2013.

Police have released more details about the lewd photos allegedly sent by a North Penn High School teacher to a then 17-year-old female student.
Towamencin detectives told The Reporter that chemistry teacher Todd Gibson sent photos of his penis to the student via Snapchat in 2013. He also sent images of him undressing and nude, police told the publication.
Gibson, 29, a chemistry teacher, was arrested by Towamencin police Thursday ,court documents show.

The investigation into the incident began in June, after the student notified another high school staff member of the situation.
According to information published in The Reporter, Gibson’s communications to the student progressed from friendly hellos to inappropriate inquiries about what the student was wearing and requests for her to come to his house. In August 2013, Gibson’s communication to the student became sexual, according to detectives. Photos of him undressing and nude were sent, along with a photo of his penis, according to reports.

According to a statement issued by school officials, Gibson had worked for the district since 2008. He was also an assistant coach of the boys’ water polo team.
Due to the police investigation, Gibson was suspended before the start of the school year.
“Student safety is a top priority of the North Penn School District. Staff and students are commended for reporting and acting upon this serious issue. Pennsylvania law dictates that any individual found guilty of this offense would be prohibited from employment in either public or private schools in the Commonwealth,” North Penn officials said in a statement.
