Montgomery Co. Man Who Had Child Porn Cache Headed To Jail
A Montgomery County man who police said had hundreds of sexually explicit images of young children is headed to jail.

CHELTENHAM, PA -- A Cheltenham man who police said had hundreds of sexually explicit images of young children is headed to jail.
Joseph Procopio, 48, will spend the next three to 23 months in county prison after pleading guilty to one charge of possessing child porn, according to court documents. When he was arrested in March 2018, he faced more than 200 counts.
Abington detectives discovered Procopio in the course of an undercover investigation. They identified his computer as being specially designed to anonymously share files with others, authorities said.

When detectives connected to Procopio's computer, they downloaded 141 sexually explicit images, featuring numerous children engaged in sexual acts and poses, officials said.
A search warrant executed at Procopio's house resulted in seizure of his custom computer, which contained a total of 308 explicit images, according to the DA's Office.

Procopio also faces five years of probation upon release from prison, court documents show. He will be eligible for parole.
