Montgomery County poker players take note. If Matt Glantz shows up at your home game, it might be time to cash in your chips while you’re ahead.
On Monday, Glantz, a Whitemarsh resident from the Lafayette Hill section, finished in 146th place at the 46th Annual “World Series of Poker” event, held at Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
For his win, Glantz will collect $46,890.

According to WSOP records, Glantz – former options trader - has earned a total of $2,674,761 from WSOP and circuit tournaments in his career.
This year’s tournament – which attracts some of the most talented and high profile poker players in the world – is being held at Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

Along with Glantz, Eagleville’s Brian Lemke placed 399th, earning $24,622, Penn Valley’s Mark Davidoff placed 464th and earned $21,786, and Royersford’s Craig Bateman placed 538th and won $19,500.
They were the four Montgomery County men, along with 22 other Pennsylvania contestants, that finished in the top 1000 of the overall tournament.
