Montgomery County Chick-fil-A Employees Allegedly Rob Their Own Store: Report

Employees of the chain allegedly called 911 to "report" the robbery.

The manager and an employee of the Montgomery Township Chick-fil-A fabricated a story about their store being robbed to cover up their own theft, according to story in The Reporter.

Lansdale’s Joseph Kallatch, 20, the manager, allegedly called 911 to say that robbers had beat him up and forced him to open the store safe at about 1:30 a.m. on August 7, according to the report.

But when police arrived, however, Kallatch confessed that Michael Berstecher, 20, his co-conspirator from Hatfield Township and a fellow employee at Chick-fil-A, had absconded with over $2,000, the report states.
