Montgomery County Man Gets Lighter Sentence For Sexual Assault: Report

A Norristown man convicted of sexually assaulting a young girl in 2011 was re-sentenced to eight to 16 years in prison, reversing the earlier decision of 10 to 20 years, according to a Times Herald report.

Gene Xenia Peters, 28, of Stanbridge Street, sexually assaulted a 9 year old girl in her home on Marshall Street on August 8, 2011, the report states.

Peters was immediately arrested and later admitted his guilt, the report states. He later told the court that he was high on drugs when he provided that statement.
