Overnight Cold Prompts Code Blue in Montgomery County

A Code Blue Cold Weather Emergency has been declared for Montgomery County starting Friday night through Sunday morning.

Lows overnight Friday are expected to plummet to the teens, according to the Weather Channel. Saturday’s high will be about 30, and overnight lows are expected to be in the 20s, the forecast said.

The Code Blue will last until 9 a.m. on Sunday.

A Code Blue Cold Weather Declaration is made in Montgomery County when the combination of air temperature and wind chill is anticipated to be 20 degrees or less.
