The 21-year-old mother tried to use her hands to defend herself.

The death penalty is being considered for a Pennsylvania man accused of stabbing a young mother 49 times, according to a report by the York Dispatch.

Samantha Young, 21, known as “Sami,” used her hands to shield herself from the brutal attack which claimed her life in April in Wrightsville, York County, the report states.

Michael James Bordelon, 22, had a 1-year-old daughter, Arteya, with Young, but the two were no longer involved, the report states. Bordelon allegedly lured Young to his home by saying there was something wrong with Arteya, according to the report.
