Pennsylvania Named 3rd Most Miserable State for Thanksgiving Celebrations
The commonwealth ranked 23rd in Salmonella cases per capita from poultry.

What do you think of Thanksgiving? Do you choose to spend your holiday in a different city every year or do you force yourself out of bed to attend an obligatory family reunion in your hometown? Does food sickness or arguing come in the way of your celebration?
According to Estately, Pennsylvania is the third most miserable state for Thanksgiving celebrations.

On a nationwide chart entitled the Thanksgiving Misery Index, Pennsylvania ranked:
- 23rd in Salmonella cases per capita from poultry
- 9th in dietary restrictions
- 19th in enthusiasm for Black Friday sales
The rankings suggest that the most miserable state is Ohio, while Hawaii’s ranking as least miserable makes a tropical turkey meal sound pretty good.
