A Pennsylvania woman was killed by a car as she mowed her lawn in front of her home near DuBois on Thursday, according to WeAreCentralPa.com.

The incident occurred at about 1 p.m., near the corner of Brown Street and Blakely Avenue, per the report.

The woman had reportedly just survived extensive chemotherapy and been cured of her breast cancer.

Neighbors said the car that hit her had U.S. Government plates and was stolen from a marine recruiter’s house across the street, but that was not confirmed by police, per the report.

After a brief scuffle, the suspect was held down by neighbors until police arrived, the report states.
