Portion of Route 232 to Be Repaved, Lane Restrictions Planned
Lane restrictions are planned weeknights in the work zone from 8 p.m. to 6 p.m. starting Monday.

A $5 million project to repair and resurface three miles of Route 232 will begin Monday, PennDOT announced.
Route 232, also known as Huntingdon Pike, will be resurfaced between Fox Chase Road in Rockledge Borough and Abington Township and Route 63 in Lower Moreland Township.

The project is funded by Act 89, the state’s new transportation plan.
In addition, crews will install ADA curb ramps and new pavement markings, upgrade pedestrian buttons at signalized intersections and replace crosswalks at various intersections.

The resurfacing part of the project is scheduled to be completed in the late fall. The entire project is expected to be finished in April 2015.
