A. I’ve always been intrigued by the law so possibly a lawyer. But my dream job would’ve been a football coach because I like working with kids and teaching them about the sport.
Q. Tell me about the first home you bought and what it felt like to be a homeowner for the first time. How did you celebrate that first home purchase?

A. I purchased my first home with my wife in Willow Grove. It was a single home, and it was a great feeling to be a part of the American Dream of homeownership. I have stayed local because I love this area. I now live in Hatboro.
Q. What advice do you have for first-time home buyers?
A. If you have the ability to buy a home, you should do everything you can to buy it as soon as possible. What I see with clients is, as time goes, life changes and demands delay the purchase of a home. If there’s any possible way to buy your home now, make it happen. It’s a great opportunity to also build wealth.
Q. What do you do when not working?
A.I like to spend time with my kids and my grandkids, spend time at the beach, watch sports and play golf as much as I can.
Q. How many children & grandchildren do you have? What real estate advice would you give them?
A. I have two children, a son and a daughter, and we have six grandchildren. My advice is similar to that of first-time home buyers. Buying a home today is tough on young people but if you have the ability purchase a home now; don’t wait.
Q. What are you seeing in the local market right now?
A. The Spring market is already heating up. It’s been a rough winter and inventory is still low, but there are more and more homes coming on the market daily. I think it’s going to be a hot market this year.
Q. What’s the biggest mistake sellers make in this market?
A. Not preparing your home for the sale. Whether it’s staging or various things that a Realtor would recommend – change the carpets, paint the walls, etc. People today want their home to be more turnkey than a fixer upper.
Q. What advice do you give clients who feel overwhelmed?
A. There’s a lot to buying and selling a home. Take the process step by step and use your Realtor as a resource to accomplish the tasks before you.
Q. What is one thing people don’t typically know about the home-selling process?
A. How complicated it is without using a professional real estate agent. There are so many details and blind spots where the seller can get hurt. Going at it alone is a big mistake.
Q. What is a commonly misunderstood part of your job?
A. I think a lot of people think our job is just showing houses, but it’s so much more. Most of the transactions can get complicated with negotiations, inspections and financing. The competition of people competing for houses today means you need to put together the right financing package to get your clients transaction to the finish line.
Q. What do you love about working in this community?
A. I’ve lived in the community all my life. It’s great to live and work here. You get to build long-term relationships with your clients and watch their families grow. I’ve been involved with Willow Grove Rotary and the Willow Charitable Fund, and it gives me a great, warm feeling to help others in and around the community.
Q. What’s the overall vibe of working with the Quinn & Wilson Team?
A. I’ve been working with the Quinn & Wilson team for over two years now. It’s very welcoming. It’s a solid team. Everybody here cares about each other and cares about your success.
