Route 132 (Street Road) motorists are advised to use extra care when driving through the work zone and to allow additional time for travel because slowdowns will occur. The operations are dependent on the weather.
This work is part of a $5 million project to repair and resurface 9 miles of Route 132 (Street Road). PennDOT’s contractor will also install ADA curb ramps, new pavement markings, centerline rumble strips; and upgrade pedestrian buttons at various signalized intersections.
This Route 132 (Street Road) pavement improvement project, funded by Act 89, Pennsylvania’s new transportation plan, is scheduled to finish in July 2015. The milling and paving part of this project is scheduled to be completed in the late fall.
J.D. Eckman, Inc. of Atglen, Pa. is the general contractor on the $5 million project that is financed with 100 percent state funds.
