Terwood Road Bridge Reopens, Alleviates Traffic In Upper Moreland

UPPER MORELAND, PA — Good news for commuters in the Upper Moreland area: construction on Terwood Road Bridge is complete, the bridge is now open to vehicles.
Officials said that heavy traffic at area intersections should now diminish.
The road had been closed due to construction on the Terwood Road Bridge which crosses over Pennypack Creek.

The bridge, built in 1966, was deemed structurally deficient. PennDOT began repairs on the bridge in mid-June.
The 26-foot long bridge carries roughly 16,200 vehicles a day.
