Theft Suspect Leaps From 2nd Floor At Montco Mall
A man suspected of a retail theft was seen on video leaping from one floor to the next in an apparent attempt to elude apprehension.
WILLOW GROVE, PA — A theft suspect is recovering from injuries he sustained after jumping from the second floor to the first floor of the Willow Grove Park Mall recently.
According to a spokesperson for PREIT, the mall's parent company, the incident occurred at about 7 p.m. Friday, April 14.
Video circulating online shows a man climbing over a railing and dropping to the floor below, then crawling away.

PREIT said the leap happened after the man fled a store.
"The individual was then taken to the hospital to be treated," Karisa Washam, Marketing Director at Willow Grove Park Mall, said.

Abington Police said robbery and related charges are pending as the suspect recovers in the hospital.
