Tickets To See Dalai Lama In Philly Go On Sale Wednesday
The Dalai Lama will be in Philadelphia in October to receive an award from the National Constitution Center.

The Dalai Lama will be in Philadelphia in October and tickets to the public events go on sale this week.
The Dalai Lama will be visiting the National Constitution Center in center city to receive their prestigious Liberty Medal but he will be doing two public events.
On Oct. 26, he will hold teaching event on the Eight Verses for Training the Mind at La Salle University. That event starts at 1 p.m.

Then, on Oct. 27 at 9:30 a.m., he will participate in a forum called “Finding Happiness in Troubled Times: Educating the Heart in the 21st Century” at Temple University’s Liacouras Center.
The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that tickets to both events go on sale Wednesday at 10 a.m.

His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet is being honored by the National Constitution Center”in recognition of his advocacy for human rights worldwide,” the Center said.
“The Dalai Lama (emphasizes) the ideals of freedom, dialogue, and tolerance,” said Jeffrey Rosen, the president and CEO of the Center.
The current Dalai Lama, the head of Tibetan Buddhism, is the longest reigning leader in the history of the position, having reigned since 1950. He is known for his advocacy on behalf of the Tibetan people and religious freedom in China and around the world.
