About Verdi
Verdi was an Italian Romantic composer primarily known for his operas. He is considered one of the preeminent opera composers of the nineteenth century.
His work includes the operas Don Carlo and Macbeth. He also wrote Ave Maria and String Quartet in E Minor.
In later years, he founded a hospital and, in Milan, he built a home for retired musicians.
