Two Montco Companies Crack Fortune 1000

Two Horsham companies are among the nation’s 1000 most prosperous, according to the latest release of the Fortune 500 on Thursday.

Toll Brothers (628th) and Penn Mutual Life Insurance (980th) were both noted in the internationally-recognized list, which ranks all American companies based on gross revenue.

Although Toll and Penn Mutual did not crack the top 500, the full list actually included the top 1000, bringing renewed national attention to big business in a little town.

Earlier this week, Patch featured another Horsham business, Swain Tech, whose owner Manuel Truijillo was recognized by the national Small Business Administration as the minority owner of the year.

Toll’s headquarters are on 250 Gibraltar Rd, while Penn Mutual is located on 600 Dresher Road.

This year’s Fortune 500 is the 61st consecutive year in which the list has been published.

The businesses on the Fortune 500 companies account for $12.5 trillion in revenues, $945 billion in profits, $17 trillion in market value and employ 26.8 million people around the world.
