Weekend Storm to Bring Snow, Rain and Sleet to Philadelphia Region

Snow is expected to arrive late Friday night but a switch over to rain and sleet is expected by daybreak.

A winter storm is coming this weekend but the newest forecasts suggest it will leave the region slushy and wet rather than snowy and white.

Winter Storm Iola will make an appearance just in time for the weekend—days after Sunday’s ice storm and Wednesday’s dusting.

Recent forecasts show the storm will be a mix of rain and snow in Eastern Pennsylvania. The latest accumulation predictions as of Thursday evening have been downgraded from as many as five inches of snow to one to three inches likely in Bucks and Montgomery counties.
